Terms of Service

1. The Service

GrowOrPay is an accountability application. You set a daily deadline and an accountability fee. If you confirm task completion before the deadline, no charge is made. If you miss the deadline, the fee is charged to your payment method automatically.

2. Honour System

GrowOrPay operates on the honour system. You self-report task completion. We do not verify, monitor, or track what tasks you are working on. By using this service, you agree to use it honestly and in good faith.

3. Payments & Charges

By adding a payment method, you authorize GrowOrPay to charge your card the accountability fee amount when you miss a deadline. Charges are processed via Stripe. You may contest a charge within 7 days if you believe it was made in error or due to a legitimate emergency.

Delay hours may be purchased at 10% of your fee per hour (1–5 hours maximum). This extends your deadline for that day only.

4. Cancellation

You may cancel your commitment at any time from the Settings screen or via the cancellation link in any penalty receipt email. Cancellation takes effect immediately. Any outstanding debt must be settled before cancellation is complete.

5. Auto-Pause (3-Strike Rule)

If you miss 3 consecutive days, your commitment is automatically paused to prevent runaway charges. You will be notified and can resume at any time.

6. Contest System

You may contest any charge within 7 days of it being made. Legitimate reasons include: illness, family emergency, technical failure, or travel. We review all contests within 48 hours. Approved contests result in a full refund.

7. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. All personal data will be permanently removed. Any outstanding debt must be settled first. Apple token revocation is handled automatically for Apple Sign-In users.

8. Limitation of Liability

GrowOrPay is provided "as is." We are not responsible for any financial loss resulting from missed deadlines, payment processing errors by Stripe, or technical failures beyond our control. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid in fees in the last 30 days.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email and in-app notification. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
