Your chosen accountability fee is charged automatically to your payment method. The charge happens the moment your deadline passes without a YES tap. You'll receive a receipt via email.

Cancel anytime from Settings → End My Commitment in the app. You can also cancel via the link in any receipt email. There is no cancellation fee, no questions asked, and you can come back anytime.

We never see your tasks. The app only knows whether you tapped YES or not. Your plan is entirely yours — we have no task entry, no photo verification, no GPS tracking.

Real stakes are the entire mechanism. Research shows that apps offering free trials saw near-zero long-term habit formation. The money is what makes it work from day one. The app itself is free to use — you only pay when you miss a deadline.

If you miss 3 consecutive days, your commitment is automatically paused to prevent runaway charges. You'll be notified and can resume whenever you're ready. This is a safety guardrail — we never want the app to feel punitive.

The charge becomes a locked debt on your account. You won't be able to check in until the debt is settled. Update your payment method in Settings to resolve it.

Your deadline is always based on the timezone you set during setup. If you travel, your deadline stays the same relative to your home timezone. You can adjust your timezone in Settings if you relocate permanently.

Yes. Go to Settings → Change Accountability Fee. You can adjust it up or down at any time. The new fee takes effect the next day.

Deleting the app does not cancel your commitment. Your daily deadline still runs. If you miss it, you'll still be charged. You'll receive an email with a cancellation link if we detect you've been inactive.

GrowOrPay supports all major currencies through Stripe. Your fee is charged in your local currency based on your location during setup.

Go to Settings → Update Payment Method. This opens a secure Stripe-hosted page where you can add a new card. Your old card is removed automatically.

No. Gambling involves a chance of winning money. GrowOrPay never pays you money — it only charges you when you fail to meet your own commitment. It's a commitment device, not a wager.

Reminder apps tell you what to do. GrowOrPay makes you do it. The difference is consequences. A reminder you can ignore is just noise. A deadline with real money attached is a commitment.

Yes. Visit app.groworpay.com in any modern browser. The web app has the same functionality as the mobile app. You can also install it as a PWA on your desktop for quick access.

You can contest any charge within 7 days. Go to History → tap the charge → Contest. Explain the situation and we'll review it fairly. Legitimate emergencies are always handled with empathy.

The app auto-pauses after 3 missed days. There is no manual pause feature by design — the daily habit works because it never breaks. Even on easy days, set one simple task to keep the chain alive.
